MONICA FRITZ PHOTOGRAPHY

I spent the first half of my life in Manhattan and the second half between Milano and Istanbul stopping for a year in Yemen in between. 

 

I studied Fine Art photography in Florence,  Italy and exhibited in many group and some one woman shows  Europe and the Middle East. 

 

My editorial photography has been published in architecture and travel journals, fashion magazines and art and culture magazines, as well as books and blogs around the world. 

 

From 2009 - 2012 I directed and wrote three television shows in Turkey, focusing on art, travel and culture in Turkey, (Monica Yollarda), the expat experience in Istanbul, (Out and About Istanbul)  and a short series of interviews with artists (Yaşam). 

 

This then led to the creation of "Alternative City Tours" (www.alternativecitytours.com) a series of photography tours developed to explore the lesser known areas of Istanbul, backstreets and rooftops.

At the same time I am the staff photographer at Cornucopia Mag. where I pursue my personal style.
